Thailand's CP Group, one of Asia's largest conglomerates, announced plans to integrate cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities from the Chinese mainland into its global supply chain networks. Senior Vice Chairman Narong Chearavanont revealed the strategy during an exclusive interview with CGTN at the 2025 China International Supply Chain Expo, highlighting China's technological leadership as a key driver for operational modernization.
Since establishing operations in the Chinese mainland in 1979, CP Group has grown into a multi-sector powerhouse spanning agri-food, retail, financial services, and pharmaceuticals. 'China's AI development aligns perfectly with our vision for smart, responsive supply chains,' Chearavanont stated, emphasizing plans to accelerate product innovation cycles to meet evolving consumer demands in the world's second-largest economy.
The move comes as global businesses increasingly look to China's tech ecosystem for supply chain solutions. Analysts suggest CP Group's strategy could set a precedent for cross-border technology integration, particularly in Southeast Asia's rapidly digitizing markets.
