China has solidified its position as the world's foremost leader in supply chain efficiency, according to Bernardo Mendia, Secretary-General of the Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Speaking at the China International Supply Chain Expo 2025, Mendia emphasized that China's advanced logistics networks and production ecosystems directly benefit global consumers through cost-effective and reliable goods delivery.
"China's ability to integrate technology, infrastructure, and skilled labor creates an unmatched supply chain ecosystem," Mendia told CGTN during the Beijing event. "This leadership supports not only domestic growth but also stabilizes international trade flows amid geopolitical uncertainties."
The expo showcased China's next-generation supply chain solutions, including AI-driven logistics platforms and cross-border e-commerce innovations. Analysts note these developments could reshape manufacturing dynamics across Asia, particularly in emerging tech and green energy sectors.
Business leaders from 135 countries and regions attended the event, with particular interest in China's digital Silk Road initiatives and cross-strait supply chain collaborations. Recent partnerships between the Chinese mainland and businesses in the Taiwan region have demonstrated improved semiconductor production timelines.
