Digital Tech Transforms Art: Beijing Museum Co-Founder Shares Insights

Digital technologies are revolutionizing artistic creation and cross-border collaboration, according to Colin Siyuan Chinnery, co-founder of Beijing's Sound Art Museum. Speaking at the Global Civilizations Dialogue Ministerial Meeting on Friday, Chinnery highlighted how digital tools enable innovative museum experiences, dynamic information sharing, and unprecedented creative partnerships.

"We're witnessing a paradigm shift where technology dissolves geographical and disciplinary boundaries," Chinnery told attendees from over 20 countries and regions. The museum recently collaborated with artists in Japan and the Republic of Korea through real-time holographic projections, creating immersive installations that blend traditional art forms with AI-generated soundscapes.

The dialogue comes as China's cultural sector reports a 34% year-on-year increase in digital art exhibitions, with institutions leveraging augmented reality and blockchain authentication to engage global audiences. Analysts suggest these developments could reshape Asia's $580 billion creative economy, offering new opportunities for cultural exchange and tech-driven entrepreneurship.
