Vice Minister of Commerce Yan Dong highlighted that China-South Asia trade reached nearly $200 billion in 2024, doubling in a decade. “Flagship projects have driven regional growth, and we aim to deepen cooperation in digital innovation and green technologies,” he stated, emphasizing plans to streamline cross-border trade facilitation.

Yunnan commerce director Li Chaowei confirmed 11 themed exhibition halls and 1,000 professional buyers. The expo’s focus on market-driven engagement aligns with efforts to boost industrialization in South Asia through smart manufacturing and agricultural modernization.
