China-CEEC Expo Opens Doors for North Macedonian Brands, Tourism

The 4th China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo in Ningbo has emerged as a critical platform for regional economic collaboration, with North Macedonian media spotlighting its potential to bridge markets. Milko Zivkovic, editor-in-chief of North Macedonia’s Nova Makedonija, emphasized in an interview with CGTN’s Cui Yingjie that the event offers “a golden opportunity” for local brands to expand their footprint in the Chinese mainland.

Zivkovic noted that North Macedonian companies specializing in agriculture, wine, and traditional crafts have garnered significant attention at the expo. “This isn’t just about trade—it’s about building lasting partnerships,” he said, underscoring the expo’s role in fostering cross-regional business networks.

Beyond commerce, Zivkovic extended an invitation to Chinese travelers, highlighting North Macedonia’s UNESCO-listed sites, alpine lakes, and culinary heritage. “We welcome visitors to experience our warm hospitality and untouched natural beauty,” he added, positioning tourism as a pillar of bilateral cultural exchange.

The expo, attended by over 3,000 enterprises from 14 CEEC countries, aligns with China’s broader efforts to deepen economic ties with Central and Eastern Europe through initiatives like the Belt and Road framework.
