The 4th China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo in Ningbo has become a pivotal platform for deepening economic collaboration, with Slovakia emerging as a key participant this year. Over 40 Slovak companies are showcasing innovations in food production, renewable energy systems, aviation technology, and academic research at the Zhejiang-hosted event running through May 25.
Slovakia’s Strategic Participation
Richard Rasi, chairman of the Slovak National Council, emphasized to CGTN’s Xu Jinhui that Slovakia’s delegation combines "high-quality products, cutting-edge technologies, and academic excellence" to create sustainable partnerships. The initiative aligns with China’s growing demand for green energy solutions and advanced manufacturing expertise.
Building Bridges Through Innovation
Notable exhibits include Slovak-designed solar energy storage systems and aerospace components, alongside university-led AI research projects seeking Chinese collaborators. Rasi highlighted cross-sector opportunities: "By connecting our SMEs with China’s digital economy ecosystem, we can achieve mutual growth in emerging industries."
The expo comes as China-CEEC trade volume surpassed $130 billion in 2023, with Central European agricultural tech and sustainable infrastructure solutions gaining traction in Asian markets.
