In an interview with CGTN, Jamieson emphasized that moving production out of the Chinese mainland would be economically unfeasible even with potential tariff increases.
"Once tariffs exceed 50%, additional percentage points become arithmetic theater rather than practical business impacts," Jamieson stated, addressing recent trade policy debates. He described China's competitive advantages as unmatched, citing cutting-edge automation tools and skilled workforce development as key factors.
While acknowledging the unpredictability of U.S. trade policies under former President Trump, the footwear executive confirmed no current plans to relocate factories from China.
