Asia's Premier Yacht Event Sets Sail in Sanya
The 5th China International Consumer Products Expo launched its first Sanya International Yacht Pavilion, drawing 62 global exhibitors showcasing over 150 vessels. Spanning 166,800 square meters, the event highlights water-centric displays and creative lifestyle integrations like 'yacht weddings' and deep-sea diving experiences.
UK Pavilion Bridges Tradition and Technology
As this year's guest nation, the UK blended maritime heritage with innovation through demonstrations of yacht-building expertise and exhibits featuring races like the Volvo Ocean Race. The pavilion also spotlighted cutting-edge navigation systems, emphasizing cross-border marine technology collaboration.
Government Backs 'Yacht+' Economic Growth
Li Gang of China's Ministry of Commerce reaffirmed support for expanding yacht-related infrastructure, including public berths and supply stations. With Sanya now home to 1,400 registered yachts, local leader Wang Qiyang outlined plans to develop the city into Asia-Pacific's leading hub for yacht research, manufacturing, and tourism services.
Global Collaboration Takes Center Stage
The expo concluded with the unveiling of the Sanya Yacht Industry Initiative, inviting international stakeholders to jointly advance sustainable marine economic practices. This move aligns with broader regional efforts to position Asia as a nexus for luxury maritime commerce and innovation.
