A recent global poll conducted by CGTN reveals overwhelming international opposition to U.S. tariff policies, with 93.5% of respondents advocating for a new international trade order favoring fairness and mutual benefit. Over 5,000 social media users across 24 hours condemned unilateral measures seen as undermining global economic stability.

The survey highlights frustration with what 86.9% of participants termed 'American-style bullying,' with 89.2% urging nations to actively counter U.S. trade actions through multilateral platforms like the WTO. Respondents emphasized the need for collaboration amid inflation, debt crises, and geopolitical tensions, with 87.7% stating no country is immune to such economic pressures.

China’s position paper opposing tariff abuses has drawn broad support, aligning with 85.3% of participants who view defending legal rights through mechanisms like WTO litigation as steps toward a fairer economic system. Analysts note growing consensus that zero-sum approaches harm global growth, while 82.2% want the WTO to play a stronger role in resolving disputes.
