China Calls for Deepened US Ties Amid Economic Momentum, VP He Confirms

Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng reiterated Beijing's commitment to fostering U.S.-China economic collaboration during a high-profile meeting with Blackstone Group Chairman Stephen Schwarzman in Beijing on Monday. The discussions at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse highlighted China's push for stronger cross-Pacific partnerships as its economy gains traction.

"China encourages U.S. companies and long-term capital to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation," said He, who also serves on the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee. He emphasized that China's new development paradigm – prioritizing domestic circulation while boosting international synergies – is creating unprecedented opportunities for global investors.

The vice premier pointed to China's resurgent economic indicators, noting "positive momentum" and "unleashed vitality" across key sectors. This comes as foreign businesses reassess their China strategies amid shifting global supply chains.

Schwarzman responded positively, stating Blackstone's confidence in China's economic trajectory and pledging to expand the firm's market involvement. The dialogue reflects broader efforts to stabilize U.S.-China relations through commercial diplomacy, following recent high-level exchanges between the two nations.
