New Hope Group Urges Chinese Private Firms to Adopt AI for Growth

In a recent interview with CGTN's Aaron Liu, Liu Yonghao, member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of New Hope Group, emphasized the critical role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the growth of Chinese private enterprises. He advocated that private firms should harness the advancements in AI to enhance efficiency, transform their products, and better address the needs of the public.

Liu Yonghao highlighted that embracing AI is essential for the sustained expansion and competitiveness of private businesses in China. \"Only by integrating AI can our private enterprises continue to grow and expand,\" he stated.

Echoing these sentiments, Liu Jieyi, spokesperson for the 3rd session of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC, announced that in 2024, China plans to deepen the integration of technological and industrial innovation. This initiative aims to accelerate the construction of a modernized industrial system. During a press conference on Monday, Liu Jieyi noted that China secured 79 spots on the World Economic Forum's list of 189 \"lighthouse factories\" globally, with nearly half of these accolades coming from traditional industries.

The focus on AI and industrial innovation underscores China's commitment to advancing its private sector and maintaining a competitive edge in the global market. As private enterprises adopt AI technologies, they are better positioned to meet evolving market demands and drive economic growth.
