During his recent inspection tour of China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Mobile, Chinese Premier Li Qiang emphasized the importance of advancing scientific and technological innovation in frontier and emerging areas. Premier Li stressed the importance of steadily advancing independent innovation and accelerating research and development in key areas. He called for striving to achieve original technological breakthroughs to inject new impetus into industrial transformation and upgrading.
The premier also advocated for the deep integration of the digital economy with the real economy and the enhancement of new-type infrastructure construction. He emphasized the necessity of quickening technological research and standards development for 6G while accelerating the large-scale application of 5G technology.
Additionally, Premier Li urged the telecom operators to provide better services for private firms and medium and small-sized enterprises.
