China’s State Council Finalizes Draft Government Work Report Ahead of March Session

On Wednesday, the State Council of China held a plenary meeting to discuss the draft government work report, which is set to be deliberated during the annual session of the top legislature in March.

Premier Li Qiang, who led the meeting, emphasized the importance of fully responding to public expectations and concerns. He highlighted the need to promote high-quality development and called for further revisions to the report to ensure it meets these objectives.

As the new year progresses with evolving circumstances and tasks, Premier Li stressed the necessity of systematically and innovatively implementing the major policies and strategic directives outlined by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Focusing on development goals, he noted the importance of enhancing counter-cyclical adjustments in response to changing conditions. Li urged the introduction of tangible and accessible policy measures while fostering greater interaction between policies and the market.

The premier also advocated for robust initiatives to achieve breakthroughs in key areas, including reinforcing domestic circulation, promoting technological innovation, and facilitating industrial upgrades. These efforts aim to cultivate new advantages for China's long-term development.

To support these goals, a more robust and high-standard approach to creating a first-class business environment will be adopted. This approach aims to provide improved conditions for all types of enterprises to innovate and develop within the country, as well as offer more opportunities for various talents to engage in entrepreneurship.
