Advisor to Former Australian PM: World Ready to Progress Without U.S.

Faced with multiple challenges and uncertainties, the global community is prepared to progress independently of the United States, according to Warwick Powell, an adjunct professor at the Queensland University of Technology and advisor to former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.

In an interview with CGTN, Powell expressed confidence in the world's maturity and its capacity to address pressing issues through existing technologies, human resource expertise, and financial means.

\"The rest of the world is sufficiently mature and will continue to move forward,\" Powell said. \"We will not sit around and wait for the U.S. to figure out what it wants to do.\"

He highlighted that trading nations are developing innovative solutions, establishing new institutions, and creating multilateral platforms at the regional level. These efforts aim to expand regional trade and capital flows, fostering economic development and resilience.

Powell's remarks underscore a shifting global landscape where countries are increasingly taking initiative to navigate economic and technological challenges collaboratively, rather than relying on traditional global powers.
