In an exclusive interview with CGTN’s Global Business, Severin Podolak, Head of Event Management and Operations at the World Economic Forum (WEF), highlighted the organization’s commitment to sustainability and diversity at the upcoming 2024 Davos Forum.
“We’re trying our best to reduce, reuse, and recycle,” Podolak stated, emphasizing the WEF’s efforts to minimize the environmental impact of the event. Measures such as subsidizing participants who travel by public transportation are part of the WEF’s initiative to encourage eco-friendly practices among attendees.
Podolak also underscored the importance of diverse representation at the forum. “The 2024 Davos Forum brings together voices from different regions, industries, and opinions,” he said. By fostering a diverse array of perspectives, the WEF aims to facilitate more comprehensive discussions on global issues.
The focus on sustainability and diversity reflects the WEF’s broader mission to improve the state of the world by engaging leaders from across the globe in collaborative efforts.
