In an exclusive interview with CGTN’s Global Business, Severin Podolak, Head of Event Management and Operations at the World Economic Forum (WEF), emphasized that sustainability and diversity are at the forefront of this year’s event planning.
Podolak revealed that the 2024 Davos Forum is committed to “reduce, reuse, and recycle,” implementing measures such as subsidizing participants who opt for public transportation. “We are trying our best to minimize the environmental footprint of the forum,” he stated, highlighting the WEF’s dedication to sustainable practices.
Beyond environmental concerns, diversity is also a key focus for the upcoming forum. Podolak noted that the event aims to bring together a wide range of voices from different regions, industries, and perspectives. “It’s crucial that we have diverse representation to address the complex challenges facing the world today,” he remarked.
The 2024 Davos Forum seeks to foster inclusive dialogue and collaborative solutions by embracing sustainability and diversity at its core.
