In a recent interview with CGTN's Global Business, Severin Podolak, Head of Event Management and Operations at the World Economic Forum (WEF), highlighted the organization's commitment to sustainability and diversity at the 2024 Davos Forum.
Podolak emphasized that this year's event made significant efforts to \"reduce, reuse, and recycle,\" implementing measures such as subsidizing participants who opted for public transportation. \"We tried our best to minimize the environmental footprint of the forum by encouraging sustainable travel options,\" she remarked.
The Operations Chief also noted the importance of diverse representation at the forum. \"The 2024 Davos Forum brought together voices from different regions, industries, and opinions,\" Podolak said. \"By fostering a diverse dialogue, we aim to address global challenges more effectively.\"
The WEF's initiatives reflect a broader commitment to environmental responsibility and inclusivity, aligning with global efforts to promote sustainable development and cross-cultural collaboration.
