During discussions with representatives from the U.S.-China Business Council and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Han highlighted the significant common interests and vast potential for cooperation between China and the United States. \"Getting the bilateral relationship off to a good start and keeping it growing steadily serve the common well-being of the peoples of the two countries and meet the expectations of the international community,\" he stated.
Han underscored the pivotal role of the U.S. business community in China-U.S. relations, referring to it as a \"participant, witness, contributor, and beneficiary\" of bilateral economic and trade cooperation, as well as China's reform and opening-up efforts. He affirmed China's commitment to further advancing reform and opening-up and to continually improving its business environment.
Representatives from the U.S. business community expressed optimism about China's economic prospects and development opportunities. They noted that the recent phone conversation between President Xi and President-elect Trump sent a positive, encouraging message. \"As the world's two most dynamic and technologically advanced economies, the U.S. and China should pursue mutually beneficial cooperation and work towards finding a constructive and stable way to coexist,\" they remarked.
The U.S. business leaders voiced their support for enhancing dialogue and communication between the two nations to further advance bilateral relations and economic and trade cooperation.
In addition to meeting with business leaders, Han also held talks with Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Han welcomed U.S. companies, including Tesla, to \"seize the opportunity to share in the fruits of China's development and make greater contributions to promoting China-U.S. economic and trade relations.\"
Musk expressed Tesla's readiness to deepen investment and cooperation with China and to play an active role in promoting economic and trade exchanges between the U.S. and China.
