Han, serving as President Xi Jinping's special representative, is visiting the U.S. capital to attend the inauguration ceremony of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.

During discussions with representatives from the U.S.-China Business Council and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Han expressed hope that U.S. companies would continue to invest in the Chinese mainland and deepen their roots there. He highlighted the vital role U.S. businesses play as a bridge between the two nations, contributing to the steady and sustainable development of China-U.S. relations.

\"China will unswervingly advance its reform and opening-up efforts and continue to improve its business environment,\" Han stated, underscoring China's commitment to fostering a favorable climate for foreign investment.

Han noted that President Xi Jinping and President-elect Donald Trump recently had a constructive phone conversation, reaching important common understandings on the future development of China-U.S. relations. He stressed that initiating the bilateral relationship on a positive trajectory and maintaining steady growth serves the common well-being of both nations and meets the expectations of the international community.

The U.S. business leaders expressed optimism about China's economic prospects and development opportunities. They welcomed the positive message from the recent dialogue between Trump and Xi, emphasizing that as the world's two most dynamic and technologically advanced economies, the U.S. and China should pursue mutually beneficial cooperation. In a separate meeting, Han met with Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
