CES 2025 Opens in Las Vegas with Record Participation from Chinese Companies

The bustling halls of Las Vegas came alive on Tuesday as the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025 opened its doors to the public. Organized by the Consumer Technology Association, this year’s event has drawn a global crowd of companies, industry executives, and government leaders, all eager to showcase and explore the latest advancements in technology.

Covering an extensive range of sectors—from artificial intelligence and digital health to energy transition, mobility, and quantum computing—CES 2025 promises to be a hub of innovation and collaboration. “There is great momentum heading into the show with a record 3,400+ Innovation Award submissions, over 4,500 exhibitors including roughly 1,400 startups, and 1,100 speakers for over 300 conference sessions,” remarked Gary Shapiro, CEO and vice chair of the Consumer Technology Association, in a press release.

A significant highlight of this year’s CES is the strong presence of Chinese manufacturers, who continue to be a driving force at the event. According to the exhibitor list on the CES official website, nearly 1,500 Chinese companies are participating, accounting for around 30 percent of the total number of exhibitors. This substantial representation underscores the critical role that companies from the Chinese mainland play in the global technology landscape.

As attendees navigate the myriad of exhibits and presentations, the convergence of global perspectives and innovations at CES 2025 sets the stage for groundbreaking developments and partnerships that will shape the future of technology worldwide.
