Chinese Premier Li Qiang has urged swift and effective implementation of policies to ensure a robust start to China’s economic development in 2025. During his inspection tour in Jinan, the capital city of east China’s Shandong Province, on Thursday, Premier Li emphasized the importance of early policy execution, accelerated project progress, and achieving tangible results.
Visiting a home appliance store, Premier Li highlighted the significance of the government’s consumer goods trade-in scheme. He noted that the initiative plays a crucial role in meeting people’s needs for a higher quality of life, unlocking consumption potential, promoting industry upgrades, and facilitating economic circulation. “China will continue to implement this initiative with greater support,” Li said, adding that procedures will be optimized to stimulate consumer spending.
At a charging and battery-swapping station in Jinan, Premier Li observed the rapid growth of intelligent connected new-energy vehicles in the country. He encouraged innovative efforts in developing charging and battery-swapping services and related sectors. “Measures should be taken to deepen reform of the energy management system, transform the energy sector, and foster new drivers of growth,” Li stated.
Premier Li’s visit underscores the government’s commitment to bolstering economic development through policy effectiveness, technological innovation, and consumer-driven growth as the nation progresses toward its 2025 economic goals.
