Second China International Supply Chain Expo to Boost Global Industrial Cooperation

The 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) is set to take place in Beijing from November 26 to 30, highlighting international cooperation in industrial and supply chains. As global industries navigate post-pandemic recovery, the expo aims to serve as a vital platform for enhancing collaboration and connectivity.

Covering over 100,000 square meters, this year’s CISCE will feature participation from more than 600 exhibitors. Notably, overseas exhibitors constitute 32 percent of the participants at the 2024 expo, up from 26 percent at the inaugural event last year, according to Zhang Shaogang, deputy director of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

“As the world’s first national-level exhibition focusing on supply chains, CISCE aims to connect upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors,” Zhang announced at a press conference on October 28. “We are bringing together enterprises of various sizes to foster better integration into global industrial and supply chains.”

Companies from the United States will comprise the largest share of overseas participants, with significant representation from Europe and Japan as well. Zhang emphasized that this increased participation reflects foreign investors’ optimism about the Chinese market and underscores China’s role as a key supply chain partner in global resource allocation.

The expo seeks to address current challenges in global supply chains by promoting dialogue and cooperation among international businesses. By facilitating partnerships and connecting diverse industries, CISCE aims to strengthen resilience and efficiency within global supply chains.

The heightened international involvement signals a collective effort to overcome challenges and seize opportunities within the global market. As enterprises converge in Beijing, the expo is poised to enhance mutual understanding and chart a course for sustained industrial growth and innovation.
