BRICS Sets Example of Win-Win Cooperation, Says Fudan University Academic

The BRICS mechanism is setting a positive example of win-win cooperation, according to Jiang Tianjiao, associate director of the Centre for BRICS Studies at Fudan University. In an interview with CGTN, Jiang highlighted the inclusivity of BRICS and its growing appeal to Global South countries.

"The BRICS mechanism is very inclusive and is becoming more and more attractive to Global South countries," Jiang said.

She emphasized that as global challenges become more complex, mechanisms like BRICS offer a platform for emerging economies to collaborate on common interests and development goals.

The BRICS group—comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—has been working to enhance economic cooperation, promote sustainable development, and strengthen geopolitical influence among its members. The addition of new members and cooperation partners has been a topic of interest, reflecting the mechanism’s expanding influence.

Jiang’s remarks underscore the significance of BRICS in fostering a cooperative environment where nations can pursue shared prosperity through mutual understanding and collaboration.
