The 2024 China-Europe Talent Forum convened in Beijing on Tuesday, bringing together 240 participants from research, education, business, and technology sectors. The forum served as a platform for experts to advocate for broader exchanges between China and Europe, aiming for shared prosperity and advancement in the global talent pool.

Jürg Burri, Switzerland's ambassador to China, highlighted the need for the future workforce to adapt to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. \"In the face of rapid technological change, it is essential that our talent is equipped with the skills to navigate and leverage new innovations,\" Burri stated during an interview with CGTN's Hu Binyi.

Dominique Turpin, European president of the China Europe International Business School, pointed to leading Chinese companies like Huawei and BYD as exemplars in attracting top talent. \"These companies are not only fostering innovation within China but are also setting global benchmarks by drawing in talent from around the world,\" Turpin remarked.

Antonio Miguel Carmona, president of Spain's Friends of China Association, emphasized the mutual benefits of collaboration. \"China and Europe must share resources and expertise to cultivate the world's talent pool,\" he said. \"By working together, we can address common challenges and drive economic growth.\"

The forum underscored the importance of international cooperation in education and technology, with participants agreeing that enhanced exchanges between China and Europe are crucial for adapting to the fast-paced changes in the global landscape.
