China’s Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao held a significant phone conversation on Tuesday with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, urging the United States to lift sanctions on Chinese enterprises. Wang emphasized the necessity of clearly defining the boundaries of national security within economic and trade sectors. “China urges the United States to lift sanctions on Chinese enterprises as soon as possible and to improve the business environment for Chinese companies operating in the U.S.,” Wang asserted.
