Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Sunday emphasized the need for unwavering efforts to implement central government policies to achieve this year’s economic and social development goals.
Presiding over a State Council executive meeting, Li urged effective macroeconomic regulation and synergy among various policies to address prominent issues in economic operations. He highlighted the necessity of accelerating policy implementation and developing new measures promptly in response to changing circumstances.
The meeting made arrangements to expedite the implementation of 102 key projects outlined in China’s 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025). Discussions also focused on promoting the establishment of an inclusive childcare services system and reviewing progress in strengthening China’s intellectual property rights capabilities.
Draft revisions to the Law on Science and Technology Popularization and the Law Against Unfair Competition were discussed and approved in principle. These revisions will be submitted to the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress for deliberation.
