Officials from Daxing District have announced that the airport is expected to handle more than 6,400 flights and over 1.03 million passengers during the holiday period.
Domestic travel is surging, with Chengdu, Shanghai, and Guangzhou emerging as the most popular destinations for passengers departing from PKX. Internationally, travelers are primarily heading to East and Southeast Asian cities such as Tokyo and Singapore, highlighting the region’s allure and connectivity.
The peak travel days are projected to be October 1 and 7, with the airport anticipating more than 1,000 flights and over 160,000 passengers on each of those days. The highest outbound traffic occurred on September 29, while the peak inbound traffic is expected on October 6 and 7.
