In a recent interview with China Media Group (CMG), Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre emphasized the importance of strengthening China-Norway cooperation in green technology and sustainable development. Støre praised the Chinese mainland’s leadership in electric vehicles and expressed optimism about joint efforts to achieve carbon neutrality, highlighting the potential for win-win partnerships between the two nations.

“China’s advancements in electric vehicle technology are remarkable,” Støre said. “We see great potential in collaborating to accelerate the global transition to sustainable energy solutions.”

The prime minister underscored the shared responsibility of both countries in addressing climate change and emphasized that cooperation in green technology could lead to significant advancements in reducing carbon emissions globally.

“By combining Norway’s expertise in renewable energy with China’s manufacturing capabilities, we can make substantial progress toward our carbon goals,” he added.

Støre’s remarks come at a time when international collaboration is deemed crucial for meeting environmental targets set by the Paris Agreement. Enhanced cooperation between China and Norway could pave the way for innovative solutions in green technology, benefiting not only the two countries but the global community.
