The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) has announced that its 2025 Annual Conference will be held from March 25 to 28 in Boao, located in south China’s Hainan Province. The announcement was made by BFA Chairman Ban Ki-moon on Monday.
Amid a slow global economic recovery and escalating regional conflicts, the world faces challenges in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Ban emphasized Asia’s pivotal role in addressing these challenges, stating that the continent is crucial in maintaining world peace and promoting global development.
“Asia has the potential to be a driving force for positive change in these uncertain times,” Ban remarked. “The 2025 Annual Conference will focus on Asia’s development while closely monitoring major global issues. Our aim is to foster greater international cooperation and seek common development for a shared future.”
The upcoming conference is expected to bring together political leaders, business executives, scholars, and experts from across Asia and beyond. Participants will engage in dialogues and exchanges on pressing issues such as economic recovery, sustainable development, and regional cooperation.
With a theme centered around collaboration and shared growth, the BFA 2025 Annual Conference seeks to provide a platform for stakeholders to formulate strategies that can contribute to global stability and prosperity.
The Boao Forum for Asia, often regarded as the “Asian Davos,” has been instrumental in promoting regional integration and offering insights into Asia’s dynamic economic landscape since its inception. The 2025 conference promises to continue this legacy, addressing both regional and global concerns in an increasingly interconnected world.
