Dubai Chambers has launched the first international edition of the “Dubai Business Forum – China” under the theme “China, Dubai and Beyond: Igniting Global Trade and Investment” in Beijing on Wednesday. The forum aims to strengthen economic ties and deepen cooperation between Dubai and the Chinese mainland, fostering new opportunities for global trade and investment.
The choice of Beijing as the inaugural international location underscores the significance of the Chinese market for Dubai’s strategic economic plans. Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, highlighted the mutual benefits of enhanced collaboration between the two regions. He noted that the forum serves as a platform to explore synergies, share knowledge, and facilitate business partnerships that can drive growth and innovation.
In an interview with CGTN’s Zhu Zhu, Lootah provided insights into the rationale behind selecting Beijing for the event. He emphasized the importance of China’s Belt and Road Initiative and how Dubai serves as a key gateway connecting Asia with the Middle East and beyond. The forum is expected to pave the way for increased trade volumes, investment flows, and cultural exchange between the two regions.
The “Dubai Business Forum – China” brings together business leaders, investors, and policymakers to discuss emerging trends, identify investment opportunities, and address challenges in the global economic landscape.
