China’s autumn grain production areas are showing steady increases, with overall crop growth at “normal levels,” an agricultural official announced on Wednesday. Despite challenges posed by droughts and floods in multiple grain-producing regions, the nation’s autumn harvest remains resilient.
Autumn grain production is crucial for China’s food supply, accounting for three-quarters of the annual grain output. Han Jun, Party chief of China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, emphasized the importance of prompt relief measures to mitigate the impact of adverse weather on autumn harvests. “We are committed to ensuring a stable grain supply despite the climatic hurdles,” Han stated.
To support farmers during this critical period, numerous technicians and agricultural officials have been dispatched to villages across the country. They are providing precise and targeted services, assisting farmers in adopting effective strategies to safeguard their crops.
