Beijing, China – In a significant move to aid flood-stricken regions, China’s top economic planner announced on Sunday the allocation of 350 million yuan (approximately $49.08 million) from the central budget. The funds are designated for disaster relief and restoration efforts in the provinces of Henan, Shaanxi, and Sichuan.
The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) stated that the financial support will focus on the urgent recovery of essential infrastructure damaged by recent floods. This includes the rebuilding and repair of schools, hospitals, flood control facilities, and other critical public services in the affected areas.
