China’s economy has maintained its growth momentum, achieving a 5 percent year-on-year increase in gross domestic product (GDP) in the first half of 2024, as reported by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Monday. This growth brings the country’s GDP to 61.68 trillion yuan (approximately $8.65 trillion) for the period.
In the second quarter, China’s GDP continued to expand, recording a 4.7 percent year-on-year growth. The data reflects the ongoing stability and development of the Chinese economy.
