Thousands of exhibitors from around the globe have gathered in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region for the 8th China-Eurasia Expo, showcasing a diverse array of products from French wine to Ghanaian drums.

The expo, held at the Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center in Urumqi, the region’s capital, commenced on Wednesday under the theme “New Opportunities of Silk Road, New Vitality for Eurasian Cooperation.” The event runs until Sunday.

Attracting over 1,900 participants from 50 countries, regions, and international organizations, the expo features more than 6,000 varieties of products. Exhibitors are eager to explore new markets, forge partnerships, and tap into the growing potential of Eurasian cooperation.

“The China-Eurasia Expo has become a significant platform for economic and trade collaboration between China and Eurasian countries,” said Gao Yunlong, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, during the opening ceremony.

The expo not only serves as a bridge for commerce but also fosters cultural exchange along the historic Silk Road. Participants are optimistic about the opportunities presented by the Belt and Road Initiative, aiming to inject new vitality into multilateral cooperation.
