Hungarian Central Bank Governor Praises China-Hungary ‘Win-Win’ Relations

In a recent interview with CGTN, György Matolcsy, governor of Magyar Nemzeti Bank, the Hungarian central bank, highlighted the mutual benefits of the strengthening relationship between Hungary and China. He emphasized that the rise of China offers significant opportunities not only for Hungary but for the global community.

“We are all benefiting from the rise of China,” Matolcsy stated, referring to the burgeoning economic ties and collaborative projects between the two nations. “China-Hungary relations are truly a win-win game.”

Matolcsy underscored the importance of embracing China’s growing role in the global economy. He pointed out that China’s advancements in technology, infrastructure, and innovation provide valuable lessons and collaboration opportunities for Hungary and other countries.

The governor’s comments come amid increasing investment and trade between Hungary and China. Hungary has been an active participant in initiatives such as the Belt and Road, enhancing connectivity and fostering economic growth in the region.

“By working closely with China, we are opening doors to new markets and technologies,” Matolcsy added. “This cooperation is essential for our economic development and for strengthening ties across Asia and Europe.”

His remarks reflect a broader sentiment in Hungary and other nations recognizing the potential of Asian markets. As China continues to expand its global influence, partnerships like that with Hungary illustrate the possibilities of international cooperation for mutual prosperity.
