Cultural Differences Enhance China-Europe Cooperation: Expert

Cultural differences between the Chinese mainland and European countries are a valuable asset for enhancing cooperation rather than a source of competition, according to Cui Hongjian, director of the Department for European Studies at the China Institute of International Studies (CIIS).

Speaking at a recent forum on China-Europe relations, Cui emphasized that embracing these differences can lead to diverse solutions and innovative approaches in bilateral cooperation.

“Recognizing and appreciating our cultural distinctions allows us to develop more comprehensive strategies that benefit both sides,” Cui stated. “It’s important for China and Europe to view cultural diversity as a strength that can drive mutual growth.”

Cui suggested that by leveraging their unique cultural perspectives, China and Europe can address global challenges more effectively. This approach fosters deeper understanding and builds stronger diplomatic and economic ties.

As China and Europe navigate an increasingly complex global landscape, experts like Cui believe that acknowledging and valuing cultural differences will be key to successful cooperation in the future.
