The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will hold its 2024 annual meeting from May 2 to 5 in Tbilisi, Georgia, under the theme “Bridge to the Future.” This significant gathering will bring together finance ministers, central bank governors, and representatives from the ADB’s 68 member countries to address pressing development challenges in the Asia-Pacific region, with a central focus on climate issues.
As the Asia-Pacific region continues to experience rapid economic growth, it also faces escalating environmental concerns, particularly those related to climate change. Scott Morris, Vice President of the ADB, emphasized the importance of this year’s theme. “Climate change poses a significant threat to the development gains achieved in Asia and the Pacific.
