The fourth China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) concluded successfully in Haikou, south China’s Hainan Province, attracting a record-breaking attendance of over 480,000 visitors from April 13 to 18.

Under the theme “Share Open Opportunities, Co-create a Better Life,” this year’s expo expanded its scale unprecedentedly, welcoming participants from across the globe. Spanning 128,000 square meters, the expo showcased 4,019 consumer brands from 71 countries and regions, marking a 9 percent increase in participating countries and a 19 percent rise in brand representation compared to last year.

Ireland was honored as the guest country of the year, highlighting its commitment to strengthening trade ties with China and the Asian market. Additionally, representatives from twelve Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) countries, accounting for 80 percent of the bloc’s membership, displayed their latest products, emphasizing the importance of regional cooperation in driving economic growth.

The expo served as a platform for global brands to tap into China’s vast consumer market and for consumers to experience international products firsthand. The event’s success reflects China’s ongoing efforts to promote openness and foster international trade relations.
