DFS China Launches Yalong Bay Project Amid Hainan’s Opening-Up

DFS China has officially launched its Yalong Bay project in Sanya, located in southern China’s Hainan Province. The move marks a significant expansion for the luxury travel retailer in the Chinese mainland.

Nancy Liu, president of DFS China, emphasized the immense opportunities presented by Hainan’s continuous opening-up efforts. “The policies implemented in Hainan have created a favorable environment for businesses like ours,” Liu said in an interview with CGTN’s Wang Tianyu. “We are excited to contribute to the local economy and serve the growing demand for luxury goods among travelers.”

The Yalong Bay project is expected to boost tourism and consumer spending in the region. Hainan Province has been designated as a pilot free trade zone, aiming to become a high-level free trade port by 2025. The province has introduced various initiatives to attract investment and enhance its role as an international tourism and consumption center.

“Our presence in Yalong Bay aligns with Hainan’s vision for development,” Liu added. “We look forward to collaborating with local partners and supporting the province’s growth strategies.”

The launch of the DFS Yalong Bay project underscores the positive impact of China’s ongoing efforts to open up its markets and promote international business cooperation.
