Angola Touts China’s Role in Industrial Development

Angola is strengthening its partnership with China to accelerate its industrialization efforts, according to Angolan officials. The collaboration is seen as a cornerstone for the African nation’s economic development.

During his visit to China from March 14 to 17, Angola’s President Joao Lourenco emphasized the significant role China has played in Angola’s progress. “China’s support and cooperation have greatly promoted Angola’s infrastructure construction and economic and social development, setting a good example of mutually beneficial cooperation,” he stated.

The visit culminated in the signing of several bilateral cooperation agreements between the two countries. These agreements span key sectors such as investment, trade, agriculture, and green development, aiming to bolster Angola’s industrial capabilities and sustainable growth.

Angolan officials believe that the strengthened partnership with China will pave the way for new opportunities and advancements. By leveraging China’s experience and resources, Angola aims to enhance its infrastructure, diversify its economy, and improve the livelihoods of its people.
