China’s New Quality Productive Forces: A Catalyst for Global Development

Experts and officials from around the world are lauding China’s strides in developing new quality productive forces, highlighting their role as a driving engine for global growth and technological innovation.

Phinij Jarusombat, former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and Chairman of the Thai-Chinese Culture Promotion Committee, emphasized China’s influence on the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). “China’s new quality productive forces are becoming the engine of change and development in ASEAN and the world,” he told China Media Group (CMG). He noted that China’s advancements, particularly in new energy vehicles, have gained global recognition for their quality and high-tech integration. “This pursuit is enabling ASEAN countries, especially Thailand, to achieve unprecedented development,” Phinij added.

Dev Raj Ghimire, Speaker of Nepal’s House of Representatives, underscored the importance of developing new quality productive forces in promoting technological advancement and addressing global economic challenges and climate change. “The continuous development of China’s science and technology will further bolster the economic growth of the world’s second-largest economy,” he remarked.

Peruvian congressman Eduardo Salhuana expressed his amazement at China’s technological developments in areas ranging from computer sciences to robotics and automobiles, as showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona, Spain. Salhuana expressed hope that China’s focus on new quality productive forces would positively impact Peru’s economic development.

Zamir Ahmed Awan, founding chair of the Islamabad-based think tank the Global Silk Route Research Alliance, observed the significant attention given to new quality productive forces during China’s recent Two Sessions meetings. “Productive forces, including new quality productive forces, are crucial for a country’s economic development,” Awan told CMG. He highlighted that China’s advancements would not only benefit its own economy but also contribute to global growth.

China’s commitment to fostering new quality productive forces is seen as a pivotal step toward enhancing international cooperation and shared prosperity. As nations worldwide navigate the complexities of economic recovery and technological change, China’s innovations offer valuable opportunities for collaboration and mutual advancement.
