CPPCC Stresses Educator Spirit in Digital Learning Era

In a bid to harmonize tradition with technological progress, CPPCC member Wang Dinghua called for renewed emphasis on educator spirit and elevating teachers' roles in the digital age during the Members' Corridor session at the Great Hall of the People on Friday. The event, part of the ongoing third session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), spotlighted strategies to adapt educational values to modern challenges.

Wang, who also serves as Party secretary of Beijing Foreign Studies University, emphasized that digital tools should complement, not overshadow, the human-centric ideals of mentorship. "Teachers are the backbone of societal development," he stated, advocating for policy frameworks that empower educators through skill-building programs and recognition of their cultural influence.

His remarks resonate amid Asia's rapid digital transformation, where countries are balancing innovation with foundational educational principles.
