CPPCC: The Chinese mainland to Further Open Doors for Global Economic Growth

Liu Jieyi, spokesperson for the third session of the 14th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, announced on Monday that the Chinese mainland's doors of opening up will only widen further. Highlighting the critical role of economic globalization, Liu emphasized that it is an objective requirement of growing social productive forces, a natural outcome of advancements in science and technology, and an irreversible trend of the times.

The CPPCC National Committee, serving as China's top political advisory body, held a press conference on Monday, just one day before its annual session. During the briefing, Liu outlined the significant strides the Chinese mainland has made over the past year in driving global economic growth. He noted that the mainland has accelerated the development of new systems for a higher-level open economy and maintained its position as the world's largest trading nation in goods and the second-largest importer.

Liu also highlighted the progress of the Belt and Road Initiative, noting the construction of international trade and economic cooperation platforms such as the China International Import Expo. These efforts provide broader platforms for promoting global economic cooperation. Concluding his remarks, Liu assured that the Chinese mainland will continue to open its doors wider to the world, reinforcing its commitment to fostering international economic collaboration.
