Local Forest Police Rescue Injured Vulture in Shanxi Province

A heartwarming rescue unfolded in Yuanqu County, Shanxi Province, when local forest police salvaged an injured vulture on January 31. The majestic bird, measuring approximately 50 centimeters tall with an eight-kilogram weight and a wingspan nearing two meters, was promptly taken to the county's wildlife protection station.

Under the meticulous care of dedicated staff, the vulture regained its strength over the course of a month. Slowly healing from its injured wing, the bird exemplifies the success of conservation efforts aimed at safeguarding first-class national protected species in China.
