Perched atop a hill, the ancient Gyantse Fortress in Shigatse, Xizang, appeared even more majestic and solemn after a recent snowfall. Originally built in 967 and expanded in 1390, Gyantse Fortress is one of the best-preserved fortified monasteries in Xizang. The fortress and the nearby Baiju Temple stood in serene harmony amidst the snow-covered landscape, creating a breathtaking scene of timeless grandeur.
