China Finalizes Crews for Upcoming Shenzhou Space Missions

China has finalized the astronaut crews for its upcoming Shenzhou-20 and Shenzhou-21 missions, both scheduled for launch this year. Yang Yuguang, vice chair of the Space Transportation Committee at the International Astronautical Federation, confirmed that all selected members are undergoing rigorous and high-intensity training.

While the names of the crewmembers have not been disclosed, the missions are set to embark on a six-month orbital journey during which the astronauts will conduct a wide range of scientific experiments and perform extravehicular activities, continuing the legacy of previous Shenzhou missions.

In addition to the crewed missions, this year will witness the launch of the Tianzhou-9 cargo spacecraft, which is designed to support the operation of China’s space station by delivering essential supplies and equipment. Furthermore, space enthusiasts will have the opportunity to witness the maiden launch of China’s Qingzhou cargo ship, which is expected to carry out urgent and lightweight resupply missions to the space station.
