China and Kyrgyzstan Forge Stronger Ties for Mutual Growth

Chinese President Xi Jinping has emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation with Kyrgyzstan to foster mutual growth and development. During talks with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in Beijing, Xi called for an alignment of development strategies and the expansion of exchanges in state governance.

Highlighting the significant progress in China-Kyrgyzstan relations, Xi noted that the partnership has reached new heights, establishing a comprehensive strategic alliance in the new era. He praised the political mutual trust and collaborative efforts across various sectors, which are solidifying the foundation for building a community with a shared future.

President Xi outlined plans to enhance economic and trade cooperation, including the import of quality goods from Kyrgyzstan and support for Chinese enterprises investing in the region. He stressed the importance of safeguarding the rights and interests of Chinese investors to ensure sustained growth.

Furthering the Belt and Road initiative, Xi urged both nations to improve connectivity by developing the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, modernizing ports, and increasing passenger and freight flights. He also highlighted opportunities in emerging sectors such as cross-border e-commerce, big data, and artificial intelligence, aiming to create new avenues for economic expansion.

In addition to economic collaboration, Xi emphasized the significance of cultural exchanges through institutions like the Chinese Cultural Center and the Confucius Institute, aiming to strengthen the friendship between the two nations. President Japarov echoed these sentiments, recognizing China as a reliable friend and partner, and pledged support on key issues while committing to advance cooperation in various fields.

The meeting concluded with the signing of a joint statement and several cooperation documents, underscoring the commitment to a strengthened diplomatic, economic, and cultural partnership between China and Kyrgyzstan.
