The third China Media Group (CMG) Annual Chinese TV Drama Ceremony was held in Beijing on Wednesday, celebrating outstanding achievements in the television industry.
A total of 21 awards were presented, recognizing excellence from the best actors and actresses to the most outstanding drama series. Notable recipients included Chinese actors Yu Hewei and Jing Dong, and Chinese actresses Song Jia and Liu Yifei, who were honored as \"Actor of the Year\" and \"Actress of the Year\" respectively. Additionally, 15 popular TV series, such as The Tale of Rose, To the Wonder, and Romance in the Alley, received the \"Outstanding TV Series of the Year\" award.
The ceremony also marked the launch of the Film and Television Tourism Consumption Integration Year, an initiative aimed at promoting the integration of film and television with cultural tourism and consumption, thereby fostering high-quality development within the cultural tourism sector.
The event featured a vibrant program filled with songs and dances, showcasing famous scenes from popular TV dramas over the past year and paying tribute to the behind-the-scenes workers who contribute to the industry's success.
The ceremony will be rebroadcast on CCTV-1 at 5:00 p.m. on January 30 and on CCTV-8 during prime time on February 2.
