The third China Media Group (CMG) Annual Chinese TV Drama Ceremony was held in Beijing on Wednesday, celebrating excellence in the television industry.
During the event, 21 awards were presented, honoring achievements from best actor and actress to the best drama series. Renowned actors Yu Hewei and Jing Dong received the \"Actor of the Year\" awards, while actresses Song Jia and Liu Yifei were named \"Actress of the Year.\"
Fifteen popular TV series, including The Tale of Rose, To the Wonder, and Romance in the Alley, were recognized as \"Outstanding TV Series of the Year,\" highlighting the diverse and engaging content produced over the past year.
The ceremony also marked the launch of the Film and Television Tourism Consumption Integration Year, an initiative aimed at promoting the synergy between film and television, cultural tourism, and consumption to foster the high-quality development of the cultural tourism sector.
The festivities featured songs and dances, showcasing iconic scenes from popular TV dramas and paying tribute to the dedicated behind-the-scenes workers who contribute to the industry's success.
For those who missed the live event, the ceremony will be rebroadcast on CCTV-1 at 5:00 p.m. on January 30 and on CCTV-8 during prime time on February 2.
