On Monday, Chinese President Xi Jinping extended his warm congratulations to Alexander Lukashenko on his re-election as the president of Belarus.
President Xi highlighted the close contact he has maintained with President Lukashenko over recent years. He noted that together they have charted the course for and led the development of China-Belarus relations, elevating bilateral ties to an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership at an all-time high.
\"Political mutual trust between the two sides has been continuously consolidated,\" Xi said. \"Belt and Road cooperation has yielded fruitful results, with effective multilateral coordination.\"
President Xi emphasized his high regard for the development of China-Belarus relations and expressed his willingness to work closely with President Lukashenko to continue the traditional friendship between the two countries.
